Highlights

More information

Benromach Distillery is a small Speyside producer located on the outskirts of Forres. Established at the end of the 19th century, it has experienced periods of closure and revival, which have shaped its independent and traditional character. Today, it operates on a modest scale, focusing on hands-on production rather than high-volume output.

The distillery is known for its classic approach to whisky-making. It uses lightly peated malt and traditional copper pot stills to create a spirit that balances gentle smoke with rich fruit and malt notes. Much of the process remains deliberately unhurried, from fermentation through to maturation in carefully selected casks, allowing the whisky to develop depth and structure over time.
